HOPE

Recently, I’ve been doing a search for the word, hope, and what God’s Word says is true.

There are so many Scriptures that speak of the word, hope.

Psalm 39:7: “For what do I wait? My hope is in You.”
Psalm 42:5: “Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him.”
Romans 12:12: “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Colossians 1:27: “To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
1 Peter 1:21: “He was made known before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and have in Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.”
Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you may abound in HOPE.”

Psalm 62:5 “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone, my hope comes from Him.”

Hope! Only God can provide hope for what we need at anytime. Hope for the grief of a lost loved one; Hope for a troubled marriage; hope for physical struggles; hope for figuring out where the next meal will come from with no finances; hope for a child who is wandering far from God; hope for those going through miscarriages.

Do I believe that He is the God of Hope? Yes, yes, yes!

I’ve watched our oldest daughter go through 2 miscarriages and the hurt and pain but also the grace that God provided.

I’ve watched a son wander far from God but have seen God answer prayers and draw him to Himself.

I’ve watched my Daddy go through cancer (and ultimately meet Jesus face to face), but always took the opportunity to share Christ with every doctor, nurse, therapist.

Yes, only God can provide. He is our Rock, our Strength, our Comfort, our Peace, our Hope.

H - He
O - Only
P - Provides
E - Everything

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
