Draw Near To God Through Life's Transitions

Last Sunday night, I officially offered my resignation as Pastor of Colonial Heights Baptist Church after preaching in view of a call at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, MO.  This is a time of transition for all of us. God can use transitions to help us grow in our faith and understand His purpose in our lives.
Do you ever wonder if God is able to use you?  Maybe you think you are too far along in life or that you missed out on the dream that God had for you.   Proverbs 3:5&6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
God desires for you to have a willing heart and to be open to God working through you and in you.  Are you willing to trust Him and be available for Him to direct your path?  James 4:8 tells us “draw near to God and He will draw near to you”. A willing heart can be developed in you with God’s help.  Draw near to Him through all of life’s transitions and challenges for He is absolutely trustworthy.  Trust Him and He will use you individually and collectively as a church to further His kingdom in ways you cannot even imagine.
Vacation Bible School starts on Monday morning.  Thank you in advance to all those who have agreed to give of their time and effort.  The deposit you are making into the lives of the next generation cannot be measured here on earth.
