In His Image

"Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the Ten-stringed lyre. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy."
Psalm 33:2-3 KJV

Every good thing comes from God. There is certainly a time to acknowledge His Faithfulness in our abilities. He created us in His image, with creativity and passion. and there is a time to recognize the spirtual aspects of music. I am reminded when David played his harp, evil spirits fled from Saul. My bet is that David was talented and skilled. and I think it's telling that his skilled playing caused evil spirits to flee.

Music is a mystical practice. It has been given to us so that we can both individually and corporately connect with God in a way that gathers our deepest hopes, doubts, dreams and loves.
