Ministry Prayer

PRAYER FOCUS: WORSHIP MINISTRY 8/16

1. Pray that each member of the P/33 choir, praise team and praise band will be a worshiper first and foremost.

2. Ask God to glorify Himself through each one so that they will be apt instruments for leading the body of CHBC in genuine praise and worship.

3. Pray for Andy as the Worship Pastor, asking God to protect him and guide him in his personal life and in his ministry.

4. The Worship Ministry needs more P/33 Choir members.  Lift this need up before the Lord, asking Him to call out those He wishes.

 

PRAYER FOCUS: SOUL STATION 8/2

1. Ask God to call out someone to fill each vacant position in our Children's Ministry for the coming year.  

2. Ask for the Holy Spirit's guidance for every volunteer as he prepares for his responsibilities in the days ahead.

3. Pray that every child coming through Soul Station activities this coming year will have a receptive, teachable heart and will be touched by God through the love and commitment of the workers in this ministry.

  

PRAYER FOCUS: MARRIED ADULTS 6/9

  1.  Pray that God would protect our marriages.  Satan wants to destroy them and us. Pray that couples will make wise, godly choices.
    2. Pray for our Married Adult LIFEgroup leaders…that God will continue to give them a passion for ministering in His name.
    3. Pray for God to raise up more people who are willing to be trained as teachers.  We really need to start several LIFEgroups over the next few years, so we need more leaders to begin learning to teach now. 
    4. Pray for more Care Group leaders who will help us to keep in contact with everyone on our LIFEgroup rolls.  And, pray that God will use them to let people know that He cares.
    5. Pray for more people who can help coordinate service ministries with married adults. 
    6. Pray for the upcoming Marriage Conference.  Pray for the leaders and for the preparation being done.  Pray that couples will come ready for God to bless their marriage. 

PRAYER FOCUS: CHAVL MINISTRY 5/23

  1. Pray that every CHAVL volunteer will be focused on his job and aware that God works through him to touch people as they worship.
  2. Pray for the proper functioning of all CHAVL equipment during the services.
  3. Ask God to pour out a spirit of unity and mutual support among the CHAVL team members as they work.
  4. Keep the CHAVL ministry leaders before the throne to be wise as they stretch time and energy to meet many demands for their service.  
  5. Lift up the families of these servants who many times put in very long hours.

PRAYER FOCUS: VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 4/26

As the dates draw near, recruiting has begun for workers to staff this year's VBS...

Ask God to provide all the VBS workers needed to carry out every activity planned for every age group in such a way as to honor Him.

  1. Pray for the recruiting team, asking God to guide them to the people He wants to use this year in VBS.
  2. Ask the Lord to touch the hearts of people gifted to work with preschoolers and children in different activities, making them willing to serve, even before they are asked.
  3. Be much in prayer for each worker called out, to be prepared by the Holy Spirit to recognize the sacredness of the task he or she has been asked to do no matter how small it may seem.
  4. Pray fervently for God's blessings to be poured out on this year's VBS, children and workers alike so that His glory may be seen.

PRAYER FOCUS: FIRST CONNECTION 4/12

I would like to see the First Connection’s team have a list of backup people.  My prayer would be to find those people you could call last minute to fill in during times of emergency.

  1. Pray that people with the gift of hospitality will be called out to help make CHBC feel like home to every person who comes.
  2. Pray that those called will respond as God leads so that they will offer themselves in service for the good of the church and those to whom she ministers .
  3. Pray that there will be more than enough people on each of the five First Connection teams to cover all of the needed areas of responsibility.
  4. Pray that every team member will find joy and blessing in His service and will reflect that joy back to each person with whom he has contact.

PRAYER FOCUS: TREASURE LAND 

Treasure Land is beginning the process of writing our own curriculum.  Pray for the various writing teams (Bible Study, Teacher Devotionals, Art/Craft, Music, Rally, Preschool Take Home Pages, Snack, and Missions).

  1. Ask God to guide in the selection of the Bible story materials to be used for each week.
  2. Pray that each team members' gifts and talents will be fully applied to the preparation of each lesson plan.
  3. Ask the Lord to help the team to give the correct balance of emphasis to each element of the curriculum.
  4. Keep each team members' spiritual condition before the throne, so that their hearts and spirits are right for the task God has given them to do.
  5. Plead with God to protect the group in the unity of His Spirit as they work on the project and ask Him to pour out His annointing grace and blessing on the results.
