SERVANTheart
WHAT IS SERVANTheart?
SERVANTheart is a support ministry that works in coordination with all the other ministries of Colonial Heights Baptist Church to recruit and place workers needed for the optimal functioning of those ministries. It flows out of the Biblical principle that every believer has been created in a unique way in Jesus Christ for works of service that glorify God and build up the body of Christ, the church.
The goal of SERVANTheart is to connect every CHBC member to his or her appropriate place of service.
- Are you a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church?
- Are you already connected and serving in a ministry at CHBC?
- Has God gifted you and called you to this place of service?
- Are you doing your part to be as fully equipped as possible:
a.As a disciple?
b.In your area of giftedness?
If you answered YES to the above questions...CARRY ON! And invite someone looking for a place to serve to work alongside you for awhile.
On the other hand, if these questions raise disquiet in your heart and you yearn to serve in a fruit bearing ministry, contact SERVANTheart.....or sign up for one of the next Discover Your Ministry seminars.

Remember, Jesus is our most definitive example of servanthood. He said that he came not to be served but to serve. When He washed the disciples' feet in the upper room, (John 13:2-17) He clearly demonstrated that He expected His followers to do exactly as He did - that is live their lives committed to service.

SERVANTheart MISSION:
"To prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." Ephesians 4:12-13, 16 (NIV)
