Discipleship
What does it mean to be a "disciple"? What does it mean to give your life whole-heartedly to studying, embracing, and sharing the teachings of another?
As Christians, we have chosen to not only study the teachings and life of Jesus, but to seek to pattern our lives after His -- trusting His Word, depending on His sacrifice, and anticipating His return. We believe that it is possible to have a growing, personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
But, we know that we need help as we grow in this relationship with Him. For that reason, we have a discipleship ministry at Colonial Heights.
So, do you want to go deeper in your relationship with Christ? Do you want to find out more about serving Him? Do you need someone to help you along the way? Then join us as we study, learn, and grow together.
GROWTHgroups
GROWTHgroups are a selection of Bible studies, support groups, and training seminars organized around our church's Core Values. GROWTHgroups are designed to challenge us to grow spiritually and to experience Christ in every way.

Discovery Series
The DISCOVERY SERIES is designed to help you discover more about the God you serve, the church we are, and the unique plan God has for your life. Currently , the Discovery Series is comprised of two seminars that help you connect with and serve in the Body of Christ at Colonial Heights.
Discover Your Church
A seminar designed for guests and new members. People are introduced to who we are at Colonial Heights and why we do things the way we do. This seminar is offered once a month, usually on the first Sunday afternoon of the month at 4:30 PM in D200. This seminar is facilitated by our Senior Pastor, Mark Anderson, and our Pastor of Education, Jerry Welch.
Discover Your Ministry
A seminar designed to help you find and serve in the place of ministry that God has planned for you. Through the course of this seminar, you will discover the elements of your unique makeup and how God can use you to serve Him and others through your church. The tool we use is SHAPE which stands for spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences. This seminar is facilitated by our Pastor of Education, Jerry Welch, our Pastor of Administration, Geno Lucas, and our Preschool Minister, Dianne Wentworth. Each participant is paired with a trained SHAPE counselor following the seminar who will help them take what they have learned in the seminar and apply it to ministry in and through our church.
To register for either of the Discovery Series seminars, contact Mary Miller in the Education Office.
