"How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? . . . How beautiful are the feet of those who proclaim the Gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things."
- Romans 10:14, 15
Colonial Heights has an ongoing ministry to the families of Battlefield community in the inner city of Jackson, Mississippi. In addition to working in partnership with the Battlefield Park Community Association in various activities throughout each year, we are also Partners In Education with the George Elementary School in Battlefield. We would love to have you and other Colonial Heights' members join us in ministry to children and their families in Battlefield Park Community.
Colonial Heights adults and our student ministry also do special projects in cooperation and partnership with families and leaders in the Battlefield Park Community. We are involved in projects such as building Habitat for Humanity homes, home winterization and renovation, various summer children's programs, and the annual Night Out Celebration in the community.
Colonial Heights has a long term vision of building a Christian Activity Center for children in Battlefield Park. The center will minister to the physical, intellectional, emotional, and spiritual needs of the boys and girls, and men and women of Battlefield Park Community. The Christian Activity Center will be operated by Battlefield Children's Foundation, a Mississippi, non-profit corporation whose purpose is to work together with community families and leaders to improve the lives of family members in Battlefield. The center's activities may include after school tutoring programs, recreation programs, mentoring, children's Good News Clubs, summer reading and recreational activities, and daytime educational and mentoring programs for adults who wish to be involved in continuing education. The facility would also be available for use by George Elementary School for special events. We are currently in the process of acquiring property for the future sight of the center.
The Partners in Education with George Elementary School has allowed us to have a strong and ongoing personal and practical ministry to children, kindergarten through grade five and their families. Colonial Heights' adult LIFEgroups have each adopted a teacher and her/his class at George. Each LIFEgroup ministers to the teacher and her/his children on a regular basis.

Trinity Worship Church is a Southern Baptist mission church plant sponsored by Colonial Heights Baptist Church and LifeBridge Church. Trinity is ministering to families in Gluckstadt and Canton, Mississippi, north of Jackson, Mississippi. Pastor Derrick Rainey and his wife Janice began the church with a weeknight Bible study in Canton several years ago. Since then the church has grown both numerically and in its ministry impact.
Beginning on December 1, 2010 Trinity will move its Sunday worship location to the Madison Crossing Elementary School at 300 Yandell Road, in Gluckstadt. This move will place them in the middle of their community target area of Gluckstadt and Canton.
If you would like more information about the church or would like to contact pastor Rainey, please visit Trinity's web-site at www.cantontrinity.org.
